kde-telepathy software package provides metapackage for installing all the KDE Telepathy components, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install kde-telepathy
kde-telepathy is installed in your system.
Make ensure the kde-telepathy package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep kde-telepathy *
You will get with kde-telepathy package name, version, architecture and description in a table
